Model company ICM in the Ukraine has released a new 1:72 scale

Knights", an AF Display Team.
The SU-27 is Russia's fourth generation fighter, and serves with
some of the the CIS Air Forces, including Russia and the Ukraine.
As well as with other countries such as China, Vietnam, Latin
America, Africa and Asia.
The kit features engraved paneling, highly detailed landing gear,

"The Russian Knights are an aerobatic demonstration team of the
Russian Air Force. Originally formed on April 5, 1991 at the
Kubinka Air Base as a team of six Sukhoi Su-27s, the team was the
first to perform outside the Soviet Union in September 1991 when
they toured the United Kingdom. On December 12, 1995, disaster
struck as three team members flew into a mountainside while
practicing formation flying in adverse weather. Despite this
unprecedented tragedy, the team bounced back and now performs with

The
USS Onondaga
www.flagshipmodels.com
The USS
Onondaga is a medium skills level
model to construct. While the model itself is easy to
build, the extensive photo etch sheet will require someone with
experience working with photo etched parts to apply them. The kit
features resin and white metal cast parts, decal flag, photo etch
parts, illustrated instructions.
USS Onondaga , a 2592-ton
twin-turret monitor, was built at Greenpoint, New York.
Commissioned in March 1864, she spent her entire active career
with the James River Flotilla, covering the water approaches to
Richmond, Virginia, during the Civil War's last year. While on the
James, she was involved in several engagements in June, August and
December 1864 and in January 1865.
Onondaga was decommissioned at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in June
1865. In an arrangement approved by the Congress, she was sold
back to her builder in March 1867 and immediately resold to
France. The monitor subsequently had long service in the French
Navy.

Lenticular
Re-Entry Vehicle
[LRV] (1962)
www.fantastic-plastic.com
Fantastic Plastics has a new kit out, the Lenticular Re-Entry
Vehicle [LRV] from 1962
It's a 22 piece resin kit, in 1:72 scale.
In the early 1960s, the U.S. Air Force purportedly began
development of this modified flying saucer-like airframe for use
as a spaceborne nuclear weapons platform.
The kit looks flash free and right on the money, nice and crisp. |
